How do I defrost bacon?

This is a serious question, for Ive never cooked before. I've some bacons in the fridge (bought it from the store) but I dont't know whether to defrost it at room temperature first and then microwave it or just microwave the whole thing? Please give me steps on how to do it, thanks so much.
