Church Dress Codes?

Another question prompted this one: Last night, someone asked about people (she specifically spoke of foreign visitors) coming to church in cut-off shorts, jeans, t-shirts and whatever casual wear they could just throw on. Many of those who answered seemed to be of the opinion that it's not necessary to dress well to attend church because they're there to worship and God doesn't care about the clothes on your back. I grew up attending an old-school, southern, Baptist church where you're expected to wear your "Sunday best" at Sunday morning worship. You can wear whatever you want at Wednesday worship, at Bible study, choir rehearsal, etc. but on Sunday, you show basic respect to God, your Pastor and the congregation by dressing like you mean it. Of course, I noticed when I moved north, the dress codes were a great deal more laxed (every woman over 18 still wears a hat at my old church) but cut-offs? Jeans? Sneakers? It's not ok to wear those things to work so wear them

Sprinkle it with italian seasoning... oregano, thyme, basil, fennel, etc. bake at 350 degrees until the tomatoe sauce is thick and bubbly. Serve over the noodles. Will be like chicken parmesan. Married very long time with kids. I had affair many years ago due to both our faults really, he admits he neglected me and could see how I needed someone as he was not there for me. Severly damaged hair?

my hair is severly damaged. I used to bleach my hair, however over the last year I have only highlighted my hair ONCE at a high end salon. My hair is literally snapping off in the front and sides of my head.( I can pull a strand of hair and snap it off without any effort ) I use all the salon products, such as nexxus and redken. I straighten my curly hair once every other day, with a nano chi and half air dry then blow dry with a chi dryer as well. Odd bump on my right shoulderblade?

Most big tire shops have a bunch a different lug keys and they will be able to remove it for you. They don't charge much for it and then you can put a regular lug on it or your own locking lug. Now if that's not going to work for you then get a bar and a sledge hammer. Place the bar on the lug and swing away, you will break the wheel stud but the lock will be off. That's how they steal rims, I have had customers have their cars towed in with no wheel studs cause the thieves broke all the studs because its faster than unbolting them. Another suggestion is to hammer on a socket that's slightly smaller and use an impact wrench sometimes you can get the lug off like this but the lug might never come out of the socket. And for the worst case scenario take a socket and plug weld it to the lug then unbolt away, socket is lost for sure but lug will come off.

I erased the partition with my on it?

I was in the process of erasing ubuntu and installing xp when in the xp installation process I accidently erased the partition with linux on it. Now when I turn it on it says os cannot be found. Admittedly i have strange dreams and maybe once or twice i get similar dreams but that happens to everyone. four or five times now i have had the same dream. I am at school, in the same place (near the gates). I'm not saying we should isolate ourselves, but rather bring governmental decisions closer to home where the government will more efficiently respond to Texans' needs and our taxes would be for us. We could join NAFTA and still trade with Mexico, USA, and Canada as well as other countries. Plus, we seceded from Mexico because we didn't think it was best for us to remain there. With the economy how it is today, maybe Texas can choose its own destiny much better than some politicians in DC who have to care about the nation as a whole and then there's all the bipartisan problems in the DC govt. My mom has a Ford taurus with the same set up. The two overdrives are the same thing i dont really know why but my dad says that in over drive at 55 mph the rpm's drop down to half for more torque it is for pulling if you did. the regular gives the normal rpm's and is not made for any pulling. it shouldnt waste any more gas.I cant answer if it would hurt to swithch between the two i have never done it and probably wont just don want to take the chance. hope this helps.

Some co-workers are back-stabbing me publicly and very unjustly, can I legally record them to prove my case?

14 months ago, I was promoted within my dept over another who had worked there 4 years. Ever since, I have been back-stabbed because some people felt she was entitled to the position, but I am the better choice. In recent times, the back-stabbing has gotten worse as another newer employee is quite the "pot-stirrer" and riles up others who don't bother to think for themselves. I am sick of their petty crap, its unprofessional and completely inappropriate. If I get recordings and they are as bad as I expect, I will have fuel for formal complaints. Puggles eyes are swollen and look very sore...?

Our 4 year old puggle stayed with a friend this week while we were away on vacation and around Wednesday, they called and said her eyes were swollen and red on the outside. We just got home yesterday and picked her up and there is some discharge and they are very swollen and look very sore. We wrapped her paws with adhesive bandage tape to help her from scratching at them and also put a cone on her. We have also been giving her some canine eye drops to help with irritation. I ume we should take her to the vet to get her some antibiotics, correct? How much do you think this will cost and are there any other remedies we can do for the time being to help her with the discomfort?

NJ/NY Tax implication?

I am married and live in NJ. I worked in NJ and my wife worked in NY in 2008. When I fill out Schedule A for the NY jurisdiction, it seems to me that my income should not be factored into line 2 because that drives down the credit percentage. It should only compare my wife's NY and NJ income, not her NY income and both of our NJ income. If it only compared her NJ and NY income, that would be apples to apples. It doesn't seem fair. Is my thinking flawed? My federal return is filed jointly so I have to file the NJ return jointly. Can somebody shed some light on this for me because it is real confusing. Thanks!

here is the story. my wife goes to this gas station one day and has a cashier be rude to her. she comes home and tells me about it.( im her husband) there are several people who work there and she could only describe the cashier and didn't know her name. after a little Q&A i was pretty sure i knew who it was. i went up to the store about a week later and spoke with the girl in question. she denied any wrongdoing, and said she didn't even remember anything happening. at that point i pulled out my cellphone and took a picture of her to show my wife so that we could be sure it was the right person. i went home and showed her and she said it was her. i could see that we were not going to get an apology or anything so i decided to just let it go and move on. a couple of weeks pes and i am at this same store getting gas and the very same cashier ask me if i ever figured out who was rude to my wife. i said that i was pretty sure it was her. i was willing to leave it alone but she just kept on denying it and saying that she never did anything like that. she then suggests that we file a complaint with the manager (her sister). so the next morning my wife goes to the store to get the managers info, and she will not speak with her or give her name or anything. we asked for corporate numbers and was told that the owner did not like to be bothered with complaints. we left frustrated and with no info. another week pes and im in the same store this morning to get water for my kids field trip, and the cashier says to me (not the same cashier) are you the guy that had the problem with "Dana" i said yes and she proceeded to to tell me that we were now banned from the store. she said they filed a police report and that i would be arrested if i came there again. can they do that? they don't even know my name. what crime have i committed?

The USF Bulls are kicking @$$ and taking names. They just came off a nice win over Auburn, their ranked #2 in BCS standings, they’ve got Rutgers on Thursday (a game in which I believe they’ll dominate), and are possibly on their way to finishing the season undefeated. Yet folks are saying they don’t deserve to be in the national championship game. I disagree. Anyone have an opinion on this? I understand the issue of ratings and the draw of the “big” schools. But just because a school has a storied history doesn’t mean you’re going to get a quality match up in the national championship. Case in point – last year’s game. I mean come on…Boise State would have given Florida more competition than the Buckeyes provided. So, the issue of the big draw aside, up and coming programs like USF do deserve to be in the national spotlight and raise that AFCA trophy. Perhaps the bigger issue is the inherent flaws of the BCS system, especially given how Auburn, Utah, and USC were done a few years back.

Should I be concerned about my heart rate and heart palpitation feeling?

I'll try to make a long story short! I had my gall bladder removed in October and have to be careful what I eat b/c it can cause me to have indigestion or upset my stomach. For the past couple of months it's happened sporadically like maybe five different mornings I've woken up anytime btw. 1:30-5:30 am with a pounding heart, sweating, and a feeling of indigestion or upset stomach. I know what is causing it b/c it always seems to happen after I have eatten something like Barbeque or something greasy. One morning a few weeks ago it happened and I got up and actually threw up. It happened this morning and I felt hot and my heart was pounding so for curiosity I got up and used my husbands blood pressure machine. I don't know how accurate this machine is but it scared me b/c my bp was 133/74 and heart rate was 110. I took a Zantac 75 which knocked out the indigestion feeling but my heart rate being that high scared me. I am a 25 yr old female. 5 ft tall 118 lbs and in good shape. Have always had good bp (133/74 is high for me). I don't drink alcohol or smoke and I am a runner so I am in shape. Sorry this is so long but should I be concerned?

My puppy peed on me twice??

I have a 7 month old Beagle pup who is almost completely housetrained. I always let him on my bed since he loves playing around on it, I've been doing this for a while and he's never done anything. This week, when I was lying on the the bed with him near me, he came right up to me and peed on me (it was full-length peeing, not excitement pee.) I scolded him harshly and let him know I was mad. Today, he did the same thing, even though he gave me a look that meant he knew I was angry!! He is very attached to me, but not dominant in nature. It's a supply and demand business, and now that it's more aboveboard I think prostitutes will have a better chance at justice if there are abuse issues. I think there will always be a lot of men who crave prostitutes, therefore a lot of business people who will take advantage of this need. The more it's tolerated and legalized in society, the less these business people can get away with, in my opinion. And, the less prostitutes and prostitution will be stigmatized, which is a good thing. Since prostitution is now legal AND is legally aboveboard, women who end up becoming prostitutes for whatever reason are legally less SEEN as outcasts, deviants, and even criminals. There's more chance to get past their negative feelings of doing what they have to do and just be contributing members of society, because the law has determined that that's what they are.

I honestly can't put tampons in anymore...?

Over the summer, i used a tampon for teh first time and even though it took a few trys i was finally able to get it in. The joys of pregnancy. Yep... sounds like your pride and joy is letting you know that he/she is in there. I have the same thing... mine occurs everyday. When I sit down at my computer to do my school work... I get those twitches/muscle spasms in the center right above my pelvic bone. I thought that I would feel bubbles instead... but every one is going to feel something slightly different. Mine loves the hips... and can't fit there as well as he/she used to... sometimes I will get a twinge then a when the baby is trying to fit in the hip again. It's always running from my Doctor... she has to get the portable ultrasound just to locate the baby's heart. Been feeling mine since about 13 weeks pregnant. The baby just got more active from that point. I cannot wait until I start seeing foot prints or hand prints run across my belly. Enjoy it while you can... it goes by so fast.

(spot test the carpet in an inconspicuous area for color fading). Keeping a spray bottle of bitter apple is wonderful to have on hand when she is caught chewing on a forbidden item. Why does my audio still suck even though i upgraded my audio card?!?

When playing crysis with onboard audio it would be horribly stuttery, and on youtube, videos had popping sounds and sound would fade in and out. I eventually upgraded to a Diamond xtreme sound 7.1 card, but there is no improvement. I uninstalled the onboard audio but that didnt help, so i uninstalled the drivers for the onboard audio but Vista promptly reinstalled them.
