How can i use my cell phone as a modem?

Casio G'zOne phone on Verizon wireless EV-DO network. I have not purchased the phone as yet. I am looking for a solution to an infrequent need. I currently have a Motorola E815 that works fine in the role of Phone and part-time modem but it is on its last legs.
