Become an airline pilot when i grow up?

im a freshmen in h/s and i want to pilot for an airline whn i grow up, if i get a h/s degree and i get my FAA license and am certified to fly airline jets, 737s, 757, 747, a380, can i still get a pilot job although i didnt go to a college, or do i have to go to college. if so, can be a state school, or does it have to be harvard or duke ect..
