I'm brining home a 4 year old beagle tomorrow, anything I should know or do?

My dad has finally let me get a dog! After some research online I have found what I hope to be my perfect dog. I understand that dogs need exercises, discipline and affection and I am able to provide all of those. But is there anything I should know about or do right when she comes home for the first time? Like should I introduce her to the whole family (dad, sister, cats), take her for a walk, let her be alone, play with her? I've never brought home a dog before that I haven't known previously, so any advice would be great. Thanks
