What is your opinion on legalizing brothels in Ontario?

It's a supply and demand business, and now that it's more aboveboard I think prostitutes will have a better chance at justice if there are abuse issues. I think there will always be a lot of men who crave prostitutes, therefore a lot of business people who will take advantage of this need. The more it's tolerated and legalized in society, the less these business people can get away with, in my opinion. And, the less prostitutes and prostitution will be stigmatized, which is a good thing. Since prostitution is now legal AND is legally aboveboard, women who end up becoming prostitutes for whatever reason are legally less SEEN as outcasts, deviants, and even criminals. There's more chance to get past their negative feelings of doing what they have to do and just be contributing members of society, because the law has determined that that's what they are.
